What a fun book with a great message! Even Superheroes Have Bad Days, written by Shelly Becker and illustrated by Eda Kaban, is everything I hoped it to be. The book starts off by telling you what kind of horrible things superheroes could do when they have a bad day. They could throw cars or break buildings. But of course they don’t. Superheroes have other ways to handle their emotions when things don’t go their way. Emotions can be overwhelming, especially when you’re young. This fun, rhyming story explains that we get to choose how we respond to our emotions. It’s okay to be mad and sad, even to sigh and cry, but we need to make sure we don’t hurt others or do harm. Inspire your little ones to find their inner hero the next time they have a bad day.
