Up And Down is another stunning book written and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. I love the unique art style Oliver Jeffers uses to bring his stories to life. Up And Down is the story about a boy and his good friend, a little penguin. One day, the penguin decides he wants to fly. Like all good friends, the boy supported his friend’s dream and wanted to help. Together, they tried to make the penguin’s dream come true, but they become separated. Spoiler, the penguin is finally going to fly, but he misses his friend. Sometimes our dreams and triumphs aren’t as fulfilling when we don’t have someone to share them with. And sometimes, it’s easier to reach for our dreams and fly when our friends are there to catch us. Love this sweet book about friendship.
