Unplugged by Steve Antony was exactly what I expected and wanted it to be. It’s an adorable story about a cute robot named Blip. Blip LOVES to be plugged into her computer. She uses it to learn, play, and even visit places. But one day there is a blackout and Blip gets unplugged. It’s a predictable story with a predictable message, but I think it’s a great book. It makes you want to get out and unplug too! And I like that it doesn’t try to convince the reader that computers are bad… just that there is a lot more to enjoy. This would be a great story to kick off a screen free period with your kids. Have you ever tried one of those? Parents participate too! We are all addicted to our screens in our home, but it’s nice to unplug once in a while!
